Pineapple Banana Smoothie A pineapple banana smoothie is so light and refreshing. It’s good for breakfast and even better when you need a mid-afternoon energy boost. This smoothie is high in fiber that’s good for your digestive system, calcium for strong bones, vitamin C for great skin and B vitamins that your body needs to convert food to energy. And, most importantly, it tastes amazing. Ingredients: 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks 1 frozen banana 1/2 cup light almond milk 1/4 teaspoon vanilla 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger (or even better - use a little chunk of fresh ginger) 3 - 4 ice cubes Directions: Add all ingredients to your blender and blend on high until smooth. Makes one smoothie. Nutrition Information: 212 calories 2 grams fat 52 grams carbohydrates 6 grams fiber One smoothie also provides you with 25 percent of your daily calcium need, 150 percent of your vitamin C requirement, plus 8 percent of your vitamin A and 6 percent of your iron needs.
