Blueberry Smoothie Blueberries are so good for you theyre high in most vitamins and minerals plus theyre packed with antioxidants that help prevent free radical damage to all the cells in your body. Yogurt adds calcium, which is important for strong bones, and probiotic bacteria that are good for your digestive system.

 

How to make this smoothie:

 

Ingredients:

 

1 cup blueberries

1/2 cup nonfat milk

1/2 cup plain nonfat Greek Yogurt

tablespoon honey

3 to 4 ice cubes (or freeze the blueberries ahead of time)

 

Directions:

 

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until smooth. Makes one smoothie.

 

Nutrition Information:

 

279 calories (use stevia or your favorite non-calorie sweetener to reduce the calorie count to 225)

12 grams protein

53 grams carbohydrates

4 grams fiber

 

One smoothie also gives you about 38 percent of your daily calcium requirement and 42 percent of your need for vitamin C.
