Heres a refreshing healthful smoothie thats also low in calories. Perfect for relaxing on a hot summer day or for recuperating after a serious workout. Watermelon is a great source of vitamins C and A, and the little bit of yogurt adds calcium and protein.


How to make this smoothie:




2 cups watermelon chunks (either use seedless watermelon or remove the seeds).

1 1/2 tablespoon fresh mint

1/3 cup plain non-fat Greek yogurt

3 to 4 ice cubes




Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until smooth. Makes one smoothie. If this recipe isnt sweet enough, you can add honey, which will add a few calories, or go with a zero-calorie sweetener like stevia.


Nutrition Information:


120 calories

6 grams protein

20 grams carbohydrate

1 gram fiber


One smoothie also gives you about 8 percent of your daily calcium requirement.
